Tegretol (carbamazepine) and Epitol (carbamazepine tablet) are anticonvulsants used to treat seizures and nerve pain such as trigeminal neuralgia and diabetic neuropathy. Tegretol is also used to treat bipolar disorder. Epitol is also used to treat glossopharyngeal neuralgia.
Carbamazepine, sold under the trade name Tegretol among others, is an anticonvulsant medication used primarily in the treatment of epilepsy and neuropathic pain. It is used in schizophrenia along with other medications and as a second-line agent in bipolar disorder.
